Former Akron offensive lineman Brandon Council committed to Auburn over Baylor and Missouri.
The 6-foot-4, 325-pound graduate transfer will be eligible to play immediately in 2020.
“It’s time to announce that I will be officially continuing my football and academic career at Auburn University!! FIRED UP!!” Council tweeted on Thursday.
Council started nine games at left guard for Akron in 2017. He moved to right tackle and started the first three games of 2018 before an injury ended his season. He started all 12 games for the Zips in 2019 and played every position on the offensive line.
