Alabama WR Ruggs declares for 2020 NFL Draft

Alabama junior wideout Henry Ruggs III joined his quarterback in declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft on Monday.

Ruggs announced his decision over social media on Monday after Tua Tagovailoa declared his intentions to enter the NFL.

“Today I am excited to announce that I am declaring for the 2020 NFL Draft,” Ruggs wrote on Twitter.

The speedy Ruggs, who reportedly could be a first-round pick, had 40 receptions for 746 yards and seven touchdowns this season.

He will join a loaded wide receiver class that includes teammate Jerry Jeudy, Oklahoma’s CeeDee Lamb, Clemson’s Tee Higgins and Colorado’s Laviska Shenault Jr., among others.

Ruggs also joins Tagovailoa, Jeudy, safety Xavier McKinney, right tackle Jedrick Wills Jr. and outside linebacker Terrell Lewis as Crimson Tide stars to declare for the draft.
