Florida State DT Wilson to return for senior season

Florida State defensive tackle Marvin Wilson, a projected first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, announced Monday on Twitter that he will return to the Seminoles for his senior season.

“I’m thankful for coach (Mike) Norvell’s commitment to perfection every day, on and off the field, but my pursuit to perfection is not over with yet,” Wilson said in a video posted to the social media site. “I am still committed to Florida State, I’m committed to coach Norvell and I’m committed to turning this thing around.”

Wilson had 44 tackles, 8.5 tackles for a loss and five sacks for Florida State this season despite missing the final three games because of a hand injury that required surgery.

The first-team All-Atlantic Coast Conference selection has 92 tackles over three seasons for the Seminoles, with 13 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks.
