LSU RB Edwards-Helaire (hamstring) could play Saturday

LSU running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire is off crutches and could be ready to play in the Peach Bow on Saturday.

“(He’s) a little better. … He still has a chance to play,” Tigers coach Ed Orgeron told reporters Monday in Atlanta.

Edwards-Helaire reportedly injured his hamstring during practice last week.

The junior has rushed for 1,290 yards and 16 touchdowns and added 50 catches for 399 yards and one score in 13 games. He was a first-team All-SEC selection this season.

No. 1 LSU (13-0) takes on No. 4 Oklahoma (12-1) in a College Football Playoff semifinal at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
