Clemson DE Thomas (concussion) misses third straight game

Clemson sophomore defensive end Xavier Thomas is slated to sit out his third straight game with a concussion on Saturday.

Thomas isn’t expected to see any action against FCS school Wofford as the Tigers want to get him back to full health.

Thomas started four of Clemson’s first six games before suffering the concussion during practice last month. He has 17 tackles — 4 1/2 for losses — and two sacks.

Thomas had 33 tackles and 3.5 sacks last season and earned multiple freshman All-America honors as Clemson won the national title.
