Second-ranked Alabama could be without starting tight end Miller Forristall for several weeks due to injury, The Athletic reported Tuesday.
Forristall suffered a throat/voice box injury in Saturday’s victory over Arkansas, according to AL.com.
Forristall, a redshirt junior, has 12 catches for 131 yards and three touchdowns in eight games this season. The coaching staff chose him as one of two players of the week on offense following the Crimson Tide’s 48-7 win over the Razorbacks.
His primary backup is sophomore Major Tennison, who has three catches for 21 yards and a touchdown.
Alabama, meanwhile, is hoping quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, coming off ankle surgery that forced him to miss last week’s game, can return to practice Wednesday and be ready for the next game — a showdown against No. 1 LSU on Nov. 9.
