New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara is expected to play in Sunday’s game at the Jacksonville Jaguars barring a setback, multiple outlets reported late Saturday night.
Kamara hurt his ankle during practice this week, being limited in Thursday’s practice and sitting out Friday’s session before being labeled questionable for the game.
Kamara, 24, has not missed a game due to injury in his career, sitting out only a meaningless regular-season finale in 2018.
In five games this season, he has 101 touches for 583 yards and two touchdowns. He has received at least 13 carries in every game and at least 20 touches in all but one game.
The third-year pro earned Pro Bowl honors in each of his first two seasons.
