Minnesota Twins designated hitter Nelson Cruz was scheduled for an MRI on his left wrist Monday.
The six-time All-Star was injured on a swing and miss during Sunday’s 5-3 loss to the Detroit Tigers.
Cruz, 38, is hitting .270 with seven homers and 22 RBIs in 35 games this season.
He signed a one-year, $14.3 million deal with Minnesota in January, joining his fifth team in 15 seasons.
Cruz is a .274 career hitter with 367 homers and 1,033 RBIs in 1,604 games with the Milwaukee Brewers (2005), Texas Rangers (2006-13), Baltimore Orioles (2014), Seattle Mariners (2015-18) and Twins.
