The Philadelphia Phillies activated shortstop Jean Segura from the 10-day injured list prior to Saturday’s game against the Miami Marlins.
Segura missed the previous 10 games with a strained left hamstring. He was batting .328 with one homer and 10 RBIs in 67 at-bats prior to the injury.
Philadelphia optioned outfielder Dylan Cozens to Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move. He grounded out in his lone at-bat with the Phillies.
Segura, 29, was acquired from the Seattle Mariners in the offseason. He is a .287 career hitter with 65 homers, 326 RBIs and 172 stolen bases in 917 games with five teams. He was an All-Star with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2013 and with the Seattle Mariners in 2018.
