Trea Turner was placed on the 10-day injured list by the Washington Nationals on Wednesday.

Turner left Tuesday’s game with a broken right index finger and could miss several weeks.

To replace Turner, the Nationals recalled infielder Adrián Sanchez from Triple-A Fresno.

Sanchez, 28, hit .271 with nine doubles, one triple, 14 RBIs, and 14 runs scored in 62 games across two seasons (2017-18) with Washington.

Sanchez has played second base (23 games), third base (14) and shortstop (eight) for the Nationals.
