Alabama defensive end Da’Shawn Hand has been ruled out of Saturday’s game against Texas A&M with a strained MCL, coach Nick Saban announced.

Hand sustained the injury after being blocked by Ole Miss tight end Dawson Knox during the third quarter of the top-ranked Crimson Tide’s 66-3 rout last weekend.

The senior has not practiced this week since suffering the injury, Saban said. Hand has 11 tackles and one sack in five games this season for Alabama (5-0, 2-0 SEC).
