Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib could be out until after the team’s bye week in Week 11, according to a report from KMGH-TV in Denver.

Talib, who is sidelined with a back injury, received a second opinion in California last week and is considered day-to-day.

“Talked to multiple NFL sources Sunday who believe Talib won’t play until after bye week to give back time to heal,” KMGH-TV’s Troy Reneck wrote on his Twitter account Monday morning.

Talib last played Oct. 24 against the Houston Texans and was ruled out for this past Sunday night’s 30-20 loss to the Oakland Raiders.

The Broncos visit the New Orleans Saints next Sunday before their bye-week break. They host the Kansas City Chiefs on Nov. 27, which is now the target return date for Talib.

The 30-year-old and three-time Pro Bowler has 20 tackles and three interceptions through seven games in his 10th season.

The Broncos, also without cornerback Kayvon Webster, signed cornerback Taurean Nixon from their practice squad for the Oakland game.

Denver suffered another blow on defense when starting defensive end Derek Wolfe sustained a fractured elbow against the Raiders.
