TORONTO — Clayton Kershaw pitched seven innings, Joc Pederson and Justin Turner homered and the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 6-2 on Saturday.

Adrian Gonzalez added a two-run single for the Dodgers, who won for the third time in their past 11 games. The Dodgers, losers in their two previous games, turned three double plays behind Kershaw as they ended a season-best four-game winning streak by the Blue Jays.

Kershaw (4-1) allowed eight hits, no walks and two runs. The left-hander struck out 10 to reach double digits in strikeouts for the fourth start in a row.

Toronto knuckleballer R.A. Dickey (1-4) is still seeking his first win since April 4 after allowing seven hits, one walk and four runs (two earned) in seven innings. The right-hander struck out three in his longest outing of the season.

Yankees 8, Red Sox 2

NEW YORK — Nathan Eovaldi pitched eight effective innings, holding David Ortiz hitless, and Didi Gregorius had a bases-clearing double in the fourth inning as New York beat Boston.

Five days after allowing season highs of six runs and 10 hits in Fenway Park, Eovaldi (2-2) allowed two runs and six hits, struck out six without a walk and threw 77 of 107 pitches for strikes. He faced Ortiz twice with the bases empty and once with a runner on first and retired the designated hitter each time.

Shortly after Eovaldi retired Ortiz a second time, the Yankees scored six times in the next three innings and ultimately knocked out David Price (4-1).

Rangers 10, Tigers 5

DETROIT — Adrian Beltre hit a pair of two-run homers and Texas belted five home runs to overpower slumping Detroit.

Rougned Odor and Nomar Mazara blasted first-inning homers and Mitch Moreland delivered a go-ahead, two-run shot during a five-run sixth for the Rangers.

Texas starter A.J. Griffin left the game with right shoulder stiffness after giving up Nick Castellanos’ two-out, bases-loaded single in the third. He was charged with three runs. Anthony Ranaudo (1-0) pitched 2 1/3 innings after Griffin departed to pick up the win in his season debut. Ranaudo, who allowed two runs, was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock on Friday.

Athletics 8, Orioles 4

BALTIMORE — Rich Hill continued his dominance on the road as Oakland snapped a four-game losing streak with a victory over Baltimore in the first game of a split doubleheader.

Marcus Semien hit his team-leading eighth home run for the Athletics, who had been the only major league team without a victory this month. Oakland manager Bob Melvin picked up the 900th victory of his career.

Hill (4-3) kept the Baltimore off-balance with his curveball and allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings with five strikeouts. Manny Machado had both of the Orioles’ hits off the left-hander, a double in the first and a single in the sixth.
