The Cleveland Browns have parted with six scouts less than three weeks before the 2016 NFL Draft, according to reports Friday.
The scouts’ contracts were set to expire after the April 28-30 draft, a team spokesman confirmed to the Akron Beacon Journal. The Browns decided to let the scouts go rather than waiting until after the draft.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Browns are “streamlining” their personnel department by parting with the six scouts.
Browns owner Jimmy Haslam has continued the front office reorganization following a 3-13 season in 2015.
The names of the scouts were not immediately disclosed.
