Linebacker Nick Perry signed a one-year deal to return to the Green Bay Packers.

Perry, a first-round pick in 2012 out of Southern Cal, can earn $5 million plus incentives in 2016. The Packers declined a fifth-year option on his original rookie deal that would have paid Perry $7.75 million.

He has 12.5 sacks in four seasons as mostly a subpackage player with the Packers but is coming off of a breakout postseason with 3.5 total sacks in the playoffs. That matched Perry’s output in the regular season.

Two other outside linebackers from the 2015 roster are free agents: restricted free agent Andy Malumba was not tendered by the Packers and became an unrestricted free agent; Mike Neal is on the team’s radar to return but the Packers are typically patient in free agency.
