
The Minnesota Vikings signed cornerback Melvin White to a reserve/future contract Friday.
White was released by the Carolina Panthers on Sept. 3, 2015 with an injury settlement before joining the St. Louis Rams’ practice squad, where he spent the 2015 season.
White signed with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana-Lafayette following the 2013 NFL Draft. White played in 30 games for the Panthers, earning 17 starts during the 2013-14 seasons, with 80 tackles, three interceptions and one touchdown. He appeared in three playoff games (one start) for the Panthers and totaled five tackles.
