
MILWAUKEE — Center Greg Monroe posted his seventh double-double of the season with 20 points and 13 rebounds and led the Milwaukee Bucks to a 109-88 rout of the Detroit Pistons on Monday night at the Bradley Center.
Monroe hit 9 of 19 shots from the field and grabbed five offensive rebounds as the Bucks shot 51 percent from the field and made 8 of 11 shots from beyond the arc.
Six Milwaukee players scored in double figures. Forward Giannis Antetokoumpo had 17, shooting guard Khris Middleton 16 and forward Jabari Parker and point guard Michael Carter-Williams 12 each. Guard Jerryd Bayless added 14 off the bench.
The Pistons struggled to find their shot all night, hitting only 31 of 91 from the field (34.1 percent) and 6 of 28 on 3-pointers.
Shooting guard Dentavious Caldwell-Pope and forward Stanley Johnson led Detroit with 17 points each and forward Anthony Tolliver had 13.
Pistons center Andre Drummond scored 15 points — all in the first half.
Monroe and Carter-Williams had 10 points each as Milwaukee overcame a slow start to shoot 50 percent from the field (24 of 48) and carry a 58-48 lead into the halftime break.
Milwaukee grew its lead to 17 when Antetokoumpo hit a 3-pointer with 3:35 to play in the third quarter. The Bucks led by as many as 28 down the stretch en route to snapping a three-game losing streak.
NOTES: Milwaukee assigned Damien Inglis to Canton of the D-League late Sunday in the hopes of getting the 20-year-old some regular playing time. Inglis, the 31st overall pick in the 2014 draft, missed all of last season with a foot injury and appeared in five games this season, averaging 1.6 points and 1.1 rebounds. … Pistons guards Brandon Jennings (Achilles) and Jodie Meeks (right foot surgery) remained inactive Monday night. Both are former Bucks. … Entering play Monday, Bucks F Jabari Parker had scored in double figures in each of his last three games and was averaging 12.0 points on 53.6 percent shooting during that stretch. … Bucks F Greg Monroe spent his first five NBA seasons with the Pistons, averaging 14.3 points and 9.2 rebounds in 391 games.
