The San Francisco 49ers signed undrafted free agent wide receiver Nigel King to a two-year contract on Wednesday.

King had 30 catches for 537 yards and one touchdown last year at Kansas. A Maryland transfer, he finished his college career with 72 receptions for 1,112 yards and six touchdowns.

In another roster move, the 49ers released five-year veteran cornerback Chris Cook. He signed a one-year contract with San Francisco in the spring after playing in just six games in 2014 because of a hamstring injury.
