The Buffalo Bills released offensive tackle Wayne Hunter on Tuesday, less than three weeks after he joined the team.
The 6-foot-5, 318-pound Hunter signed a contract with the Bills on July 1. He has not played in the NFL since the 2012 season with the St. Louis Rams.
Hunter, 34, was with the New York Jets from 2008 to 2010 when Rex Ryan, now the Bills’ head coach, was in New York. The Hawaiian started all 16 games for the Jets in 2011 and has seen action in 77 career games with 25 starts.
