The Washington Wizards officially announced the signing on forward Alan Anderson to a contract on Sunday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Anderson agreed to a one-year, $4 million contract, according to reports from multiple news outlets.
“Alan has an all-around game that complements the other players on our roster and gives us another veteran at the small forward position,” said general manager Ernie Grunfeld in a statement. “His energy, hustle and defensive ability have defined his career and we’re looking forward to him bringing those skills to our team.”
The 6-foot-6 Anderson averaged 7.4 points and 2.8 rebounds in 74 games, including 19 starts, for the Brooklyn Nets last season. He averaged 11.1 points and 3.5 rebounds during the playoffs.
