The Orlando Magic waived guard Ben Gordon on Monday.

Gordon played in 56 games last season with Orlando, averaging 6.2 points in 14.1 minutes per game, while shooting .361 from 3-point range and .836 from the free-throw line. He scored in double figures in 17 games.

Originally selected by the Chicago Bulls in the first round (third overall) of the 2004 NBA Draft, Gordon has appeared in 744 career regular-season games (269 starts) with Chicago, Detroit, Charlotte and Orlando, averaging 14.9 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists in 27.4 miniutes per game.
