The Memphis Grizzlies acquired forward Matt Barnes from the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday in exchange for guard Luke Ridnour.

Ridnour didn’t stay in Charlotte long as the Hornets then traded him and a conditional 2016 second-round draft pick to the Oklahoma City Thunder for guard Jeremy Lamb. The latter deal comes one day after Ridnour was traded by the Orlando Magic to the Grizzlies.

Barnes, 35, was traded by the Clippers, along with Spencer Hawes, to Charlotte for Lance Stephenson on June 16. He averaged 10.1 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.5 assists in a career-high 29.9 minutes in 76 games (74 starts) last season with the Clippers.

Ridnour, 34, was acquired by Memphis on Wednesday from Orlando, where he averaged 4.0 points in 47 games last season, in exchange for the draft rights to Janis Timma. Ridnour was drafted by Seattle in the first round (14th overall) of the 2003 draft out of Oregon.

Lamb, the 12th overall pick in the 2012 draft, will rejoin former UConn teammate Kemba Walker in Charlotte’s backcourt. In 148 games over three seasons with the Thunder, the 23-year-old Lamb averaged 7.0 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.1 assists in 15.7 minutes.

—All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge is not expected to re-sign with the Portland Trail Blazers, according to ESPN.

Wednesday’s trade of forward Nicolas Batum to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for center Noah Vonleh and guard/forward Gerald Henderson may have been an indication of Portland’s belief that Aldridge will leave by the July 1 start of free agency.

Aldridge, who is from Dallas, will consider signing with the San Antonio Spurs, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks and Atlanta Hawks, sources told ESPN. The 6-foot-11 Aldridge averaged 23.4 points and 10.2 rebounds last season, his ninth with the Trail Blazers.

—The Chicago Bulls hired Pete Myers as assistant coach on Fred Hoiberg’s coaching staff.

Myers, 51, returns to Chicago for his second stint with the Bulls after spending three seasons (2011-2014) with the Golden State Warriors, where he served as an assistant on former coach Mark Jackson’s staff.

Before his stint with the Warriors, Myers spent 12 seasons with the Bulls as an assistant coach (2001-2010) and scout (2000-01, 2011). He also served as Bulls interim head coach for two games during the 2003-04 season and one game during the 2007-08 season.
