The Memphis Grizzlies might have point guard Mike Conley back on the floor Tuesday night against the Golden State Warriors.
Conley was upgraded from doubtful to questionable after missing the past three playoff games following surgery to repair broken bones in his face.
If Conley is able to play in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinal series against the Warriors, he will start, according to coach Dave Joerger. The Grizzlies lost the opener in the best-of-seven matchup with the West’s top seed.
Conley has worn a protective mask during shooting and non-contact work with the team, but he has not participated in contact drills. His face remains swollen after suffering fractures during the first round of the playoffs.
If Conley remains out, the Grizzlies are expected to start Nick Calathes and use Beno Udrih in a reserve role.
