The Tampa Bay Buccaneers signed their second-round draft pick, tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins, the team announced Thursday.

Seferian-Jenkins (6-foot-5, 262 pounds) was selected 38th overall from the University of Washington, where he started 35 of 38 career games, including each of the last 28 he played, recording 146 receptions for 1,840 yards and 21 touchdowns.

Despite declaring for the draft as an underclassman, he owns the top career marks in receptions, receiving touchdowns and receiving yards by a Huskies tight end.

In his final year at Washington, Seferian-Jenkins won the John Mackey Award, given annually to the nation’s top collegiate tight end.

The Bucs also officially announced the signing of free agent wide receiver David Gettis.

Gettis (6-3, 220), who participated in minicamp on a tryout basis, originally entered the league as a sixth-round draft pick in the 2010 NFL Draft by the Carolina Panthers. He spent three seasons with Carolina, starting 13 of 17 games, recording 37 receptions for 508 yards and three touchdowns. He was placed on injured reserve prior to the 2013 season.
