St. Louis Rams cornerback Greg Reid, who was just signed last week for his first NFL job, was arrested Saturday in Georgia on a charge of violating his probation.

According to a news release by the Valdosta Police Department, Reid was arrested for violating his probation from a 2012 arrest for possession of marijuana and driving on a suspended license.

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to ESPN.com that Reid was arrested. He is listed as incarcerated, according to the sheriff’s office website, and is being held without bond.

Reid was signed by the Rams as a cornerback and kick returner on March 22.

In the news release, first obtained by Tallahassee-based WCTV, it states that a Valdosta Police Department officer stopped a white Nissan Maxima because the driver was not wearing a seat belt. Reid was a passenger in the car and had an active arrest warrant.

Reid starred at Florida State as a cornerback and returner before he was dismissed from the team in 2012. He enrolled at Division II Valdosta State but tore his ACL in a preseason scrimmage and never played a down for the team. He underwent a second ACL surgery in May 2013.

The Rams signed Reid after he participated in the March 18 Florida State Pro Day workout.

The Rams told ESPN.com that the team is aware of Reid’s arrest but it won’t affect his status.
