The Seattle Seahawks signed former Bellevue High School standout offensive lineman Stephen Schilling, according to agent Doug Hendrickson.

Schilling was a sixth-round pick out of Michigan by the San Diego Chargers in 2011, and has played in 18 career games with two starts over three NFL seasons.

The 6-foot-5, 312-pounder is expected to compete for a reserve role with the Seahawks, who lost right tackle Breno Giacomini in free agency.

Schilling was a two-time Associated Press first-team Class 3A all-state selection while playing for the three-time state champion Bellevue Wolverines. Highly recruited by several Pac-10 teams as a Parade All-American, Schilling chose to play at Michigan, where he emerged as an All-Big Ten honorable mention player by his senior season.
