The Seattle Seahawks waived injured defensive end Tory Slater and signed defensive tackle T.Y. McGill on Friday.
McGill was offered a contract after participating in the Seahawks’ rookie minicamp last weekend on a tryout basis.
At North Carolina State, McGill started 21 games and played in 49, finishing his college career with 131 tackles, 10 sacks and 24 1/2 tackles for loss.
Slater signed with Seattle as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 8.
