The Pittsburgh Steelers signed unrestricted free agent linebacker Arthur Moats to a one-year contract, the team announced Monday.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported the deal is for $795,000. Moats is expected to back up Jason Worilds and Jarvis Jones.

Moats (6-foot-2, 250 pounds) was originally drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. From 2010-2013, Moats, 26, played in 59 games with 20 starts, and he recorded 109 tackles, five sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He also recorded 32 special teams tackles during that time.

In 2013, Moats set career highs in games played (16), starts (12) and total tackles (48).
