Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Walter Thurmond agreed to a one-year, $3.5 million contract with the New York Giants, ESPN.com reported Sunday.

Thurmond, 26, played in 12 games for the Super Bowl champions last season, recording 33 tackles, one sack and returning an interception for a touchdown. The 5-foot-11, 190-pounder also served a four-game suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.

The Giants are also expected to meet with cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, who played for the Denver Broncos last season.

In addition, the Giants signed safety and kick returner Quintin Demps, who made six starts for the Kansas City Chiefs last season.

Demps averaged 30.1 yards on kickoff returns, including a 95-yarder for a touchdown, in 2013. He also registered a career-high four interceptions.
