First-round pick Andrus Peat agreed to terms of a four-year contract with the New Orleans Saints on Thursday.
Peat, 21, was the 13th overall pick in the 2015 draft and projects to right tackle with the Saints, coach Sean Payton said last week while marveling at the 6-foot-7 road grader’s agility.
Peat’s future is likely at left tackle, where Zach Strief confessed recently he is expectant the job soon will belong to Peat.
Peat played at Stanford and is the son of former St. Louis-Phoenix Cardinals offensive tackle Todd Peat.
