Outside linebacker Parys Haralson reached agreement on a one-year contract Tuesday to remain with the New Orleans Saints.
Haralson came to the Saints in a trade from the San Francisco 49ers before the start of the 2013 season. In 16 regular-season games last year, Haralson started eight times and had 35 tackles, 3 1/2 sacks and one pass defensed.
The 6-foot, 225-pound Haralson’s season ended after he suffered a torn pectoral muscle in the Saints’ playoff win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
In eight NFL seasons and 102 career games, Haralson has 330 tackles, 25 sacks, five passes defenses, three forced fumbles and 24 special-teams tackles.
