The New England Patriots have agreed to terms with first-round defensive tackle Malcom Brown.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday that the 32nd overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft agreed to a four-year rookie contract.

Brown was present for organized team activities and this week at minicamp. He is expected to help fill the void left by Vince Wilfork, who was released and signed with the Houston Texans this offseason.

Brown avoided drawing any comparisons to Wilfork on the last day of minicamp.

“I’m not here to replace anybody,” Brown said Thursday. “Vince was a great player, and obviously everybody sees that. But I’m not here to replace anybody, and whatever role the coaches give me, I’m going to take that role and play my best at it.

“I’m just working hard here and trying to improve, get better every day and make progress. Everybody is in this situation at one point in time, and everybody has the right mindset and everybody is working hard and trying to improve.”
