The Miami Dolphins released cornerback Cortland Finnegan and offensive lineman Nate Garner on Monday.
Finnegan lasted one year in Miami after signing a two-year, $11 million deal in 2014. He was due to make $5.475 million in 2015.
Finnegan, 31, started 12 games in 2014, recording 44 tackles and no interceptions.
Garner, 30, played in 10 games last season but is dealing with concussion problems, according to the Miami Herald.
Garner had one year remaining on his three-year, $4.875 million contract and would have been paid $1.625 million this year.
Added to the release of wide receivers Brian Hartline and Brandon Gibson last week, the Dolphins now have about $18 million in salary cap space ahead of the start of free agency March 10.
