DT Pendleton returns to Colts

The Indianapolis Colts signed free agent defensive tackle Jeris Pendleton on Tuesday to undisclosed terms.

The 6-foot-2, 323-pound Pendleton spent the 2014 season on injured reserve after suffering a knee injury in the first preseason game.

Pendleton was with the Colts in 2013 when he split time between the practice squad and active roster and had four tackles in one regular-season games. He also partcipated in two playoff games.

Before joining the Colts, Pendleton was drafted in the seventh round by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2012 and played in four games as a rookie, making one tackle before he was released on May 22, 2013.

Pendleton was with the Dallas Cowboys during training camp before the 2013 season but was released in August 2013 and signed with the Colts’ practice squad on Dec. 3, 2013.
