The Indianapolis Colts Monday announced that restricted free agent inside linebacker Jerrell Freeman signed his qualifying offer.
In three seasons with the Colts, Freeman has compiled nine sacks, eight forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries, three interceptions and 15 passes defensed.
Last season, the 28-year-old Freeman ranked second on the team with 144 tackles — 78 solo tackles.
In 2012, Freeman set a franchise record and ranked fifth in the NFL for tackles in a season with 203. He became only the second Colts defender in franchise history to top 200 tackles in a year.
