One day after Brandon Ivory was arrested on a charge of first-degree burglary in Tuscaloosa, Ala., the Houston Texans waived the defensive tackle Thursday.

Ivory, a former University of Alabama player, signed with the Texans in May as an undrafted free agent.

On Wednesday morning, Ivory, 23, and Nicholas Gerard Gibson III, 21, were arrested after two alleged victims told police that two men broke through a door, assaulted one person and stole two iPads and money.

One suspect reportedly had an assault rifle and the other reportedly carried a knife.

Police said the stolen items were recovered at the home of Ivory and Gibson. Ivory and the other man were arrested, charged and held on $120,000 bail.

Ivory’s agent, Jeff Guerriero, sent a text to ESPN.com that read, “I spoke to Brandon he is not guilty and his name will be cleared of all charges.”
