The Detroit Lions were scheduled to work out free agent cornerback Cassius Vaughn as they begin the first day of their offseason program on Monday, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Vaughn started 15 games for the Indianapolis Colts over the last two seasons. The Colts acquired him in a 2012 trade with the Denver Broncos.

In 2013, Vaughn had 30 tackles, three interceptions and a forced fumble. He has five career interceptions, with the first two returned for touchdowns. He started his NFL career in 2010 after signing as an undrafted free agent with the Broncos, starting three games as a rookie.

Cornerback is a position in which the Lions would like to improve.
