The Cleveland Browns signed seventh-round cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu on Thursday, meaning half of their 12 draft picks are under contract.

Ekpre-Olomu, a two-time All-American at Oregon, was considered a second- or third-round talent, but he slipped into the final round because of an ACL injury suffered in December during practice before the College Football Playoff title game.

The draft fall did not hurt him financially, though, as he has an insurance policy that is expected to pay him $3 million because the injury caused him to fall out of the first three rounds.

The Browns previously signed second-round linebacker Nate Orchard, third-round defensive tackle Xavier Cooper, sixth-round cornerback Charles Gaines, sixth-round tight end Malcolm Johnson and sixth-round tight end Randall Telfer.

The unsigned draft picks are first-round defensive tackle Danny Shelton, first-round center Cameron Erving, third-round running back Duke Johnson, fourth-round safety Ibraheim Campbell, fourth-round wide receiver Vince Mayle and seventh-round linebacker Hayes Pullard.
