The Cleveland Browns unveiled new uniforms that have a more modern look during an event Tuesday night at the Cleveland Convention Center.

The new unis include brown, white and orange combinations that update the team’s classic style while retaining the features of the traditional look. One of the noticeable differences is Cleveland spelled out across the front of the jerseys and Browns in block letters on the outside legs of the pants.

The three colors will allow the team to choose from nine combinations.

The helmet keeps the same color and design scheme but has a brown face mask. The jerseys also include stripes on the sleeves.

“You won’t mistake them for our old uniforms,” Browns president Alec Scheiner said earlier Tuesday.

The Browns used nine current players — Joe Thomas, Donte Whitner, Karlos Dansby, Barkevious Mingo, Dwayne Bowe, Brian Hartline, Armonty Bryant, Chris Kirksey and Taylor Gabriel — as models at an event attended by season ticket-holders and alumni.
