San Antonio Spurs forward Manu Ginobili signed a two-year, $5.75 million contract that includes a player option for 2016-17. Ginobili weighed retirement after each of the past two seasons.
With offseason moves to upgrade the roster, Ginobili was still wanted back and re-signed along with teammates Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green and Tim Duncan. The Spurs traded Tiago Splitter to the Atlanta Hawks and signed All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge.
The Argentian was the 57th overall pick in 1999 and enters his 14th season with the Spurs, playing in 865 games with averages of 14.3 points, 4.0 assists and 3.8 rebounds per game.
