The Philadelphia 76ers announced the signing of rookie center Jahlil Okafor to an undisclosed contract on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-11, 270-pound Okafor was the No. 3 overall pick in the NBA Draft in June after playing one collegiate season at Duke.

Okafor made his professional debut in the Utah Jazz Summer League on Monday night and scored a game-high 20 points and added nine rebounds and two blocked shots for the Sixers.

A member of the Blue Devils’ national championship team as a freshman, Okafor was named first-team All-American after averaging 17.3 points, 8.5 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.4 blocked shots per game.

Okafor also was selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year and the U.S. Basketball Writers Association national freshman of the year. In addition, he was chosen as a finalist for the Wooden and Naismith national player of the year awards.
