The Dallas Mavericks first-round draft pick Justin Anderson on Saturday.
The team did not disclose terms of the contract.
The 6-foot-6 Anderson, the 21st overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, made an impression during the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas last month, averaging 17.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals while starting all six games for the Mavericks.
In three collegiate seasons at Virginia, Anderson helped the Cavaliers win two Atlantic Coast Conference regular-season championships and one ACC Tournament title. Last season as a junior, the guard averaged 12.2 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game.
