Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving did not attend the team’s morning shootaround before Game 2 of the Eastern Conference finals against the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night.

The team said Irving was undergoing additional evaluation with head team physician Dr. Richard Parker. Irving was listed as questionable for the game.

Irving aggravated the tendinitis in his left knee during the Cavaliers’ 97-89 Game 1 win on Wednesday night. After continuing his treatment following the game, symptoms had not diminished and additional evaluation was recommended.

Irving’s frustration was obvious after scoring 10 points on 4-of-10 shooting. Of the final 18 minutes, he played in only three.

“This is obviously one of the most frustrating things I’ve ever dealt with, just from (when) we do days and days (of rehabilitation) and you go out there and it’s nothing like simulating a game,” Irving said after Wednesday’s game. “So, for me, I’m just going to continue to do what I’ve been doing and do whatever is necessary to put myself out there.”
