Chicago Bulls forward Nikola Mirotic has been ruled out for Game 3 of the playoff series against the Milwaukee Bucks on Thursday night.
Mirotic suffered a strained left quadriceps and swollen left knee in Game 2 on Monday night.
Mirotic limped to the bench after a skirmish with Bucks center Zaza Pachulia in the fourth quarter. What looked to be knee-to-knee contact before Mirotic went to the floor likely led to the injury. Mirotic averaged 10.2 points and 4.9 rebounds this season.
The Bulls also announced Wednesday that guard Kirk Hinrich (left knee) is questionable for Game 3. He averaged 5.7 points this season.
Chicago has a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference quarterfinal playoff series.
