Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin decided to pass on playing the U.S. national team at the FIBA World Cup of basketball in August and Washington Wizards guard John Wall reportedly was added to the roster.

Griffin, one of 19 players originally selected, said Thursday that he wants to focus on the 2014-15 NBA season.

Wall is a late edition to the team before training camp opens Monday in Las Vegas, according to ESPN. He was not among the players listed on the roster that was released several weeks ago by USA Basketball.

Wall averaged 19.3 points and 8.8 assists per game this past season, helping the Wizards reach the NBA playoffs.

Griffin averaged 21.4 points and 9.5 rebounds per game for the Clippers in 2013-14.
