CHICAGO — Milwaukee Bucks guard Michael Carter-Williams left Monday’s game against the Chicago Bulls because of a right leg injury, although he returned in the second half.
Carter-Williams was injured with 8:19 remaining in the third quarter when he leaped for a loose ball and landed awkwardly on his right ankle. He remained on the court for a couple of minutes before walking toward the training room under his own power.
Carter-Williams returned to the game with 2:54 remaining in the third quarter.
Milwaukee led 55-52 when Carter-Williams left the game. The Bucks’ point guard had 14 points on 6-for-9 shooting to go along with six assists and five rebounds.
He returned to the Bucks’ bench several minutes after heading to the training room.
