Right-hander Colby Lewis reached agreement Thursday to remain with the Texas Rangers on a one-year, $4 million contract.
Lewis came back from injuries that sidelined him in 2013 to start 29 games and pitch 170 innings for the Rangers in 2014. He posted a 10-14 record with a 5.18 ERA.
The 35-year-old has a 54-58 career record with a 4.84 ERA in nine seasons, including seven with the Rangers. Lewis’ best year came in 2011 when he was 14-10 with a 4.40 ERA.
