Right-hander Vance Worley won his arbitration case against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Tuesday.

Worley was awarded his salary request of $2.45 million for the 2015 season after a hearing. The Pirates had offered $2 million.

The 27-year-old started 17 games for the Pirates last season and posted an 8-4 record with a 2.85 ERA in 110 2/3 innings. It was a nice bounce-back year for Worley after he went 1-5 with a 7.21 ERA in 10 starts for the Minnesota Twins in 2013.

Worley has a career 27-22 record with a 3.77 ERA in 81 games, including 73 starts, for the Pirates, Twins and Philadelphia Phillies.
