New York Yankees left-handed reliever Jose De Paula was outrighted to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday.
De Paula, 27, was designated for assignment Wednesday and then cleared waivers.
De Paula began the season on the disabled list with a shoulder injury. Activated to the Triple-A roster on June 2, he went 2-0 with a 1.53 ERA in 17 2/3 innings with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. He has a 2.70 ERA in 3 1/3 innings for the Yankees this season.
