Relief pitcher David Robertson turned down the New York Yankees’ qualifying offer of $15.3 million, the New York Post reported.

As a result, Robertson becomes a free agent, but he can still re-sign with the Yankees. If he signs with another club, the Yankees will receive a draft pick from the team that signs him.

Robertson was the Yankees closer this past season. He converted 39 of 44 save chances and had an ERA of 3.08 in 64 innings.
